Company Description:
The ten members of the Solid Brass ensemble are some of the New York and New Jersey area's finest musicians who have performed at Lincoln Center with the Metropolitan Opera and at Carnegie Hall. SOLID BRASS has three recordings on compact disc and cassette tape: Christmas with Solid Brass, Solid Brass at the Opera, and Gershwin to Sousa. The brass quintet performs music education programs in the schools. SOLID BRASS has been a recipient of grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and has performed throughout the United States and in Mexico and Canada. The ensemble consists of four trumpets, french horn, four trombones, tuba, and percussion. Musical arrangements are published.
