The Photographic Center Northwest (PCNW in Seattle, Washington fosters a community through courses, workshops, lectures, gallery exhibits and receptions, projects with other arts organizations, artists-in-residence, darkrooms and digital labs used by students and renters, and subsidized programs for youth. We offer intensive ten-week courses, day and evening, and workshops, taught by faculty skilled as instructors and as photographers. Our students range from novice to seasoned professional. Students choose to take individual classes or enroll in a comprehensive program, which includes a year-long thesis project. Our fine art photography curriculum encompasses concept, theory, aesthetics, and technical proficiency.
