The Kilby International Awards Foundation identifies and celebrates the unsung heroes and heroines of society. Kilby Laureates are recognized for significant contributions to society through science, technology, innovation, invention, and education. Laureates are provided as role models for underserved young people, our future leaders. The Kilby Awards Foundation was founded in 1990 to honor Jack St. Clair Kilby, the inventor of the monolithic integrated circuit. Jack Kilby was awarded the Nobel Prize in 2000.
